VPP Texas is hiring an AI Automation Operator to build, secure, and scale the AI workflows and operational systems the rest of the company runs on.
Own the AI execution layer behind our CRM automations, agentic tooling, and local model infrastructure, and enforce the security practices that keep our data and IP out of public training sets.
VPP Texas sits at the intersection of clean energy and modern operations, and increasingly, that means AI doing the heavy lifting behind the scenes. We're looking for someone who can take that seriously without making it precious: a builder who ships working automations, not a research project that never leaves the whiteboard.
You'd own the internal AI workflows and operational systems that keep the rest of the company moving. That covers our CRM automations, our AI agent tooling, and the local models we run when data can't leave our own infrastructure. If you'd rather ship something that works today than architect the perfect system for six months, this is built for you.
Why security isn't optional here. We're working with proprietary systems and homeowner data, so this isn't a role where credential hygiene is a nice-to-have. You'll be enforcing it: API keys handled properly, sensitive tasks run on local models instead of public APIs, and none of our operational data or company IP ever training someone else's model. If that discipline sounds tedious, this probably isn't the right fit. If it sounds like the kind of problem you like solving, keep reading.
Build, maintain, and optimize automated customer journeys, lead processing, and campaign workflows directly inside GoHighLevel (GHL).
Deploy Claude Code routines, CLI tools, and agentic workflows to automate repetitive developer, analytical, and administrative tasks.
Set up, configure, and manage local or open-source AI models via Ollama, vLLM, or LM Studio for sensitive tasks where data must stay local or within our private cloud.
Enforce strict AI security practices across the stack: zero-data-retention API policies, secure secret and key management, and prevention of company IP exposure to public training pipelines.
Connect custom endpoints, webhooks, and local scripts into seamless operational pipelines.
Monitor, test, and refine AI outputs to maintain precision, speed, and reliability across all automated tasks.
GHLJSON data structures, and basic Python or JavaScriptWe're upfront that this is a target starting point, not a fixed ceiling. Pay scales from here based on technical depth and what you actually ship.
Competitive pay, scaled to execution. This target base reflects a starting point for someone building out the role. Deeper technical expertise, faster execution, and broader ownership of the AI stack scale the number from there.
High impact. You'd have direct ownership over VPP Texas's AI execution layer, the systems you build are the systems the company runs on.
Real tooling. Access to top-tier AI agent tools, local model hardware, and whatever else it takes to build automations that hold up in production.
Either, depending on what fits you and the scope of work. We're flexible on structure as long as the ownership and output are real.
Yes, this isn't a "learn it on the job" platform for us. We need hands-on experience building workflows, triggers, and webhook integrations inside GHL from day one.
Some of what we handle is proprietary or tied to homeowner data, and it can't touch a public model's training pipeline. Local execution through Ollama, vLLM, or LM Studio keeps that data where it belongs.
It's tied to technical depth and what you actually execute, not tenure. The $2,500/month figure is a starting target, not a cap.
Send your resume and a couple lines about what you've automated before.
